Be Honest!
Truthfulness may not get you where you want to go, but it sure is easy to sleep when you call a spade what it is. If someone is a complete boar, don't just quit talking to them and make excuses for not attending their events. Simply say "I don't want to go" or if you are confronted, let them know why. You don't have to be mean. Just say, "I don't like your....(politics, attitude toward..., etc...). When people persist, I simply lay it out. Something like "I find you too be far too Socialist for my liking", or " You refuse to bring your kids up in a manner that will benefit society, and I can't have my kids near yours. Don't believe me? Try me...
An example: A certain part of my family gets together on holidays only. They all make believe they like each other for for the Matriarch. I can understand this. Really, , , but I can't be a part of it. The common denominator of this group is a near addiction to playing cards. When they start, there is nothing else to talk about. The only conversation is about the game. Why didn't you play this. I should have played that.... The story continues. If you don't play cards (which I actually LOVE) there is no inclusion. SO.....
I quit attending. When I was asked why, I let them know that I HATED the fact that nobody COMMUNICATED. It was a bore that I was not going to live with. Now when they have a get together, I intentionally spend time with my family talking and playing together. My relationship with that particular branch of the family has never been better.
Additionally, when I make a mistake at work or think someone has a bad way of doing things, I either admit to it, or tell them why the idea is bad. Political correctness be damned. We cannot change what is. That is the only unchangeable thing. The present...
Which finally brings me to my point.
Our government is completely, utterly lying to us yet the American populous ignores this fact. The anti gunners don't want to stop "assault" weapons (which by definition are already illegal). In case you didn't already know, an "assault" weapon is defined as a firearm with detachable magazine forward of the trigger assembly AND capable of BOTH fully automatic and semi-automatic fire. We haven't been able to buy ANYTHING with fully automatic fire without serious background checks, expense, and Federal knowledge since the early 20th century. Case closed on "assault weapons". What they really want is the disarmament of society. If they aren't big enough to tell us this HONESTLY, then everyone against and on the fence regarding the issue should say NO!!!! Be honest or you will get nowhere!
Same thing goes on the right. They will tell us they want our borders defended and then accept millions of dollars in campaign funding from the very companies that hire illegals. They REALLY only want the "redneck " vote.
Both sides call for transparent government as long as they don't have to be the ones showing their souls. I say TOO FUCKING BAD!
The fox should no longer be allowed to run the henhouse!
BE HONEST!
Admit that you are too complacent to attempt a difference, or stand up and defend a side. In my HONEST opinion, we have two classes of Americans. Sheeple and Activists. Make your decision now, biatch.
